Quick answer: Walktall was the only shop we found with men’s walking boots in stock in UK 16 on 30 October 2026: the Columbia Bugaboot III, the Jomos Trekking Extra Wide and the Hi-Tec Eurotrek, with very few pairs of each. Meindl lists 16 on its Borneo 2 MFS and Mondello Mid GTX, but its product data showed the Borneo out of stock and the Mondello is offered through stockists. GO Outdoors, Blacks and Millets list the Hi-Tec Eurotrek Lite in 16 but showed it out of stock, and Freeman Hardy & Willis showed it backordered.

Sixteen is the edge of the map for walking boots. Several shops list the size, but on the day we checked, only Walktall showed pairs in stock, and only a few. Merrell and Sports Direct stop at 15, Altberg and Scarpa at 14. If you take a 16, it is worth checking the shops below every few weeks, and looking at the low walking shoes in Walktall’s Trainers & Sports category, which also reaches 16.

GO Outdoors, Blacks and Millets share one range, and all three list the Hi-Tec Eurotrek Lite in 16. On 30 October all three showed it out of stock in that size, although a search result had earlier shown it in stock at GO Outdoors. Check for it at GO Outdoors, Blacks or Millets. Decathlon’s size 16 walking boot filter showed only safety shoes from a marketplace seller.

How to measure your feet for size 16 walking boots

Meindl has the only full walking boot chart we found that reaches 16, and it gives 337.5 mm for a UK 16, with EU 52 and US 17. Walktall’s conversion table gives EU 51 and US 17, but no foot length.

1. In your walking socks, stand on paper with your heel against a wall.
2. Mark the tip of your longest toe with an upright pen.
3. Measure both feet in millimetres; the longer one decides.
4. Send the shop your length and width if you are unsure, since few pairs exist at 16 and a return costs time.

Walktall’s size 16 walking boots were F (standard) for the Columbia and Hi-Tec and I/J extra wide for the Jomos Trekking. Meindl’s Mondello Mid GTX is a Comfort Fit model with a wider forefoot.
