Quick answer: we found 17 shops with flats at UK 9, and ten of them are not in our list at 10. Named wide styles are plentiful: as shown in search results, Simply Be has Vienna loafers and Cedar bow ballet flats in EEE, and JD Williams has Nala and Drama EEE loafers. Shoe Zone’s Lilley ballerinas stop here. Marks and Spencer’s list is other brands only. After 8 Shoes lists 9.5 on many UK-labelled styles, and Crispins Shoes on many of its boots and heels, though we did not read half sizes on its flats.

That is why the list is still long, and why so many wide styles have names you can search for. It also explains the change in character from 8: Marks and Spencer’s own brand has gone, and Clarks is down to a few shoes of any kind.

We checked shops’ own websites on 30 and 31 October 2026. Marks and Spencer, Shoe Zone, DB Wider Fit Shoes, Crispins Shoes, After 8 Shoes, Otto and Ivy and Cosyfeet’s size 9 page were read directly on 31 October, and Long Tall Sally’s flats filter and Clarks’ filter on 30 October. Many other sites refused a direct read, so Yours, Evans, Next, Very, Simply Be, JD Williams, Pavers and Dr. Martens come from their own pages as shown in search results. After 8 Shoes and Otto and Ivy label many shoes in EU sizes, so their UK 9 is often our reading. Delivery and returns terms were read on 30 October. Everything here sits on a shop’s women’s pages. Dr. Martens’ list mixes women’s-labelled and unisex loafers. Half sizes for Next, Very, Simply Be and JD Williams come from their shoes filters, not their flats, and we did not inspect what they held. Crispins Shoes’ half sizes come from its boots and heels. Clarks is here on a few women’s shoes that we could not separate into flats. “Not checked” means we did not record that detail. EEE pumps, loafers and mules at size 9

If you need room, this is the size with the most names to search for. As shown in search results, Simply Be’s Vienna chunky loafers, Valetta cut out mules, Cedar bow ballet flats and Abundance bow ballerinas are all Extra Wide EEE. JD Williams has the Nala and Drama EEE loafers. Yours has its black and navy ballerina pumps, a square toe pump and an embroidered faux suede mule in both E and EEE. DB Wider Fit Shoes goes further, to 6E-8E, and Otto and Ivy has a W fitting on some styles at 43W.

What we could not count at 9

Hotter’s women’s filter reaches 9, but we could not read a flat at that size, so it is not in the table. ASOS’s size filter could not be read for flats. Birkenstock’s Boston reaches 9, but it is a clog, so we do not count it here. Its Naples mule does count, through Marks and Spencer.

How to measure your feet for size 9 flats

Long Tall Sally and Yours Clothing give 271 mm for a women’s UK 9, Marks and Spencer and Clarks 272 mm, and Shoe Zone 27.6 cm. We read no foot length from those last three above 9, so have your figure ready before you look at bigger sizes elsewhere.

1. Heel against the wall, foot flat on a sheet of paper.
2. Mark the end of your longest toe, then repeat on the other foot.
3. Measure both in millimetres and compare the longer one with 271 to 276 mm.

Width fittings at size 9

Yours Clothing’s chart gives a joint girth of 258 mm for E and 270 mm for EEE, and Marks and Spencer’s gives 262 mm for Standard (D) and 272 mm for Wide (E), though we found no wide fit in its shoes filter at 9. Long Tall Sally’s single figure is 252 mm. Shoe Zone’s Wide Fit has stopped at 8. DB Wider Fit Shoes’ 2V and 6V fittings are 2E-4E and 6E-8E, and Cosyfeet describes its shoes as about 6E.
