Quick answer: we found 22 shops with sandals at UK 9, and more than half are not in our list at 10. Simply Be and JD Williams have a wide choice in E and EEE, including Carlota footbeds and Paola heeled sandals, and Yours and Evans have plenty at 9E and 9EEE. Marks and Spencer’s list is other brands only, and Clarks is down to one style. Crispins Shoes, After 8 Shoes and Next all list a 9.5.

Nine is the edge of the map for sandals. It is the top real size at Simply Be, JD Williams and Very, whatever their filters suggest, and it is the top size at DB Wider Fit Shoes, Office, Hotter, and FitFlop’s Lulu. So the list is long, but much of it stops here. If you need width, this is the size to act on: E, EEE and DB Wider Fit Shoes’ very wide fittings are all available, and by 10 nearly all of that has gone. Very’s list looks different from 8 too, as most of it is Yours.

We checked shops’ own websites on 30 and 31 October 2026. Long Tall Sally, Yours, Evans, Simply Be, JD Williams, Next, Very, Marks and Spencer, Clarks, Cosyfeet, DB Wider Fit Shoes, Crispins Shoes, Otto and Ivy and After 8 Shoes were read through their filters and store data on 31 October, and ASOS, Office and Shoe Zone through their filters. Clarks’ one style was named from a read on 30 October. At Birkenstock, FitFlop and Crocs we read one kind of sandal. Hotter and Dr. Martens come from their own pages as shown in search results. After 8 Shoes and Otto and Ivy label many sandals in EU sizes, so their UK 9 is often our reading. Most delivery and returns terms were read on 30 October. We did not check prices, and availability changes daily.

The shops in more detail

Wide fit sandals at size 9

Width is what size 9 does well. Simply Be’s and JD Williams’ Carlota footbed, Valencia and Paola styles come in Wide (E) and Extra Wide (EEE), and Simply Be calls the Valencia a low wedge where JD Williams calls it a toe post. Yours and Evans have their own sandals under 9E and 9EEE. On Very, the wide choice is mostly Yours’ demi wedge and platform block heel sandals. Otto and Ivy has the Frankie at 43W. For more room, Cosyfeet’s extra wide sandals and DB Wider Fit Shoes’ fittings to 6E-8E both reach 9.

Footbed, walking and sport sandals at size 9

The Carlota is the footbed name that recurs, and Office has the OFFICE Serena and BIRKENSTOCK Arizona. Crispins Shoes has Elata, Remonte and Hartjes. Next’s Forever Comfort, Reef and Vionic sit in its list, and Marks and Spencer has Teva, REEF and Skechers.

Toe posts and sliders at size 9

Birkenstock’s Gizeh and Mayari, FitFlop’s Lulu and Crocs’ Crocband Flip are all toe posts we read at 9. JD Williams’ Valencia is one too, Shoe Zone has a Lilley toe post, and The Very Collection has a Wide Fit Thong Wedge. Sliders are a separate list: Simply Be and JD Williams each have a slider style filter at 9.

Ranges that stop at 9

• Simply Be and JD Williams: their filters run to 12, but 10 to 12 hold only Crocs clogs.
• Very: its filter at 10 to 13 shows adidas sliders whose own pages stop at 8.
• Shoe Zone: above 9 the list is Adults EVA clog sandals.
• DB Wider Fit Shoes and Office: 9 is where each stops.

How to measure your feet for size 9 sandals

Long Tall Sally and Yours Clothing give 271 mm for a women’s UK 9, Marks and Spencer and Clarks 272 mm, and Shoe Zone 27.6 cm. Many of the shops here have no bigger sandal to move to, so it is worth being sure of your figure before you order.

1. Heel to the wall, barefoot, on a sheet of paper.
2. Mark the longest toe on each foot.
3. Measure both, and compare the longer with the chart for that shop.

Width fittings at size 9

Yours Clothing’s chart gives a joint girth of 258 mm for E and 270 mm for EEE, and Marks and Spencer’s 262 mm for Standard (D) and 272 mm for Wide (E). Long Tall Sally’s single figure is 252 mm. DB Wider Fit Shoes sets fittings style by style, from 2E-4E through 4E and 6E to 6E-8E, so check the one on the shoe you choose. JD Williams shows Wide (E) and Extra Wide (EEE) on its product names at this size.
