Large Sandals for Women: UK Size 8 to 13

Quick answer: at UK 8 and 9 you can choose from more than 20 shops, in footbed, strappy and heeled sandals, with wide fits to EEE and beyond. It falls quickly after that: ten shops at 10, seven at 11, five at 12 and two at 13. Crispins Shoes is the main source at 10 and 11, and on its own site we confirmed no Long Tall Sally sandal above 11. At 12 there are a few styles or one style at each of five shops. At 13 we found one ASOS DESIGN flat sandal, likely last pairs, and one adidas sandal at Next, where we did not confirm the size could be ordered.

Sandals are the hardest large women’s size to read online, because filters promise more than they hold. Several shops offer 12 or 13 and return nothing real: their lists turn out to be clogs, sliders, or the whole catalogue unfiltered. So this guide counts only what we could see was a sandal at that size. Crocs clogs and Birkenstock’s Boston are clogs, and they do not count. Sliders appear on some size pages, but they are named as sliders, and at Next and ASOS they are left out of what we call a sandal. On those rules the picture is a steep slope: plenty to 9, a good list at 10 and 11 from a few specialists, and very little after that.

We checked shops’ own websites on 31 October 2026, with a few details from 30 October. Long Tall Sally, Yours, Evans, Simply Be, JD Williams, Next, Very, Marks and Spencer, Clarks, Cosyfeet, DB Wider Fit Shoes, Crispins Shoes, Otto and Ivy, After 8 Shoes, ASOS, Office and Shoe Zone were read through their own filters, store data or product pages. Next and Very were read before they refused further reads, so Very’s items above 9 could be checked only on two product pages. At Birkenstock, FitFlop and Crocs we read one kind of sandal only. Dr. Martens, Hotter and Joules come from their own pages as shown in search results. After 8 Shoes and Otto and Ivy label many sandals in EU sizes, so their UK sizes are often our reading. Most delivery and returns terms were read on 30 October. We did not check prices, and availability changes daily.

The largest size is the biggest sandal we found listed at each shop, with a note where little was available or we could not confirm it. Everything here sits on a shop’s women’s pages, and FitFlop’s Lulu and Crocs’ size tab are women’s-labelled. Two counted sandals at 12 are unisex: the Dr Martens San at ASOS, labelled so, and Marks and Spencer’s Birkenstock Arizona, unisex-sized. Clogs are not counted, and sliders are not counted as sandals at Next or ASOS. LTS is short for Long Tall Sally. “Not checked” means we did not record that detail. Delivery and returns are the standard UK terms, most read on 30 October 2026, as shown in search results where marked.

Shop by size

Each size guide compares the shops that list sandals in that size, with named styles, widths, half sizes, and EU and US sizes from the shops’ own charts.

• Size 8: 24 shops, the most at any size, with Marks and Spencer’s own brand still in the list.
• Size 9: 22 shops, and the top size for real sandals at Simply Be, JD Williams, Very and DB Wider Fit Shoes.
• Size 10: 10 shops, with a few Yours styles left at 10E and 10EEE.

Footbed and walking sandals

Crispins Shoes has walking sandals up to 12, where it lists the Hartjes Clay and Driftwood. Marks and Spencer’s Birkenstock Arizona Footbed Sandals also reach 12, in unisex sizing. Next has a Black Leather Double Strap Footbed sandal at 10, and Yours a Woven Cross Strap Footbed at 10EEE. At 9 the list is longer, with Simply Be’s and JD Williams’ Carlota footbed and the OFFICE Serena.

Heeled and wedge sandals

Long Tall Sally’s strap block heels run to 11 on its own site, and Next showed the Long Tall Sally Natural Faux Suede Block Heel Sandals at 12. Long Tall Sally’s rope wedge reaches 10, and Next’s own Forever Comfort Cross-Over Wedges are there too. ASOS lists the Nemi and Naples barely there heeled sandals at 11. Below that, Simply Be and JD Williams have the Paola, and Next the Linzi Wide Fit heels at 9. We left ordinary heels to our high heels guide.

Gladiators and strappy flats

Long Tall Sally’s gladiator and fisherman styles are the ones to look for to 11. Yours, Evans and Next show them too. At 12 the fisherman we found is the Dr Martens Unisex San at ASOS, which we read from the filter and did not open. At 13 the ASOS DESIGN Fairy-tale embellished flat sandal is the one flat sandal we found.

Toe posts and sliders

Toe posts are mostly an 8 and 9 story: Birkenstock’s Gizeh and Mayari, FitFlop’s Lulu, and JD Williams’ Valencia. Crocs’ Crocband Flip reaches 10 on its own site and 11 at ASOS, and Crispins Shoes has a Gabor Spiritual toe post at 12. Sliders are a separate thing. Simply Be and JD Williams have slider filters at 9, Long Tall Sally has a wide fit mules and sliders style, and Next’s adidas sliders run to 12, but none of those are why a shop appears in our table.

Buying sandals in big sizes: what we learned

Filters that return the wrong thing

• Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans at 12 and 13: the filter returns the whole sandal list unfiltered.
• Simply Be and JD Williams at 10 to 12: only Crocs clogs, under a page title saying sandals.
• Marks and Spencer at 10 and 11: only a Crocs clog.
• Very at 10 to 13: adidas sliders whose own product pages stop at 8.
• Shoe Zone at 10: Adults EVA clog sandals, with the same count at 11 and 12.
• Cosyfeet at 11 to 13: no results, though the filter offers them.

Wide feet

The widest fittings we found were DB Wider Fit Shoes’ 6E-8E, to 9. Cosyfeet’s extra wide sandals stop at 9, apart from the Paradise at 10. Simply Be, JD Williams, Yours and Evans list E and EEE to 9, and Yours and Evans have a few at 10E and 10EEE. Otto and Ivy has 43W and 44W. Above 10 we could not confirm a wide sandal. ASOS’s filter shows a UK 13 Wide value that we did not open.

Half sizes

Crispins Shoes has 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 on some styles, with no 11.5 available. After 8 Shoes has 8.5 and 9.5 on a few. Birkenstock’s thong sandals are labelled 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 above 9, with no whole 10 or 11. Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans list whole sizes only.

Go by foot length, not the EU number

A UK 10 is EU 43 at Long Tall Sally and Yours, and EU 44 at Next and Crispins Shoes. A UK 12 runs from EU 45 to EU 47. The adidas ZNSORY’s top size is EU 48.5, while Next’s filter calls UK 13 EU 48. We did not find a size table at After 8 Shoes, and Otto and Ivy’s site gives UK 12 as EU 46, approximately. Long Tall Sally’s chart gives foot lengths from 262 mm at 8 to 304 mm at 13.

Returns differ a lot

Cosyfeet gives 90 days for free UK returns, with some items excluded. Birkenstock and Crocs also give free returns within 30 days, Crocs except on final sale items. Crispins Shoes gives 14 days at your cost, Otto and Ivy deducts £5, and Hotter deducts £2.95. We could not confirm Joules’ terms at all.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest women's sandal size in the UK?

We found 13, but only just: one ASOS DESIGN flat sandal, where 13 was the only size not sold out, and one adidas ZNSORY sandal at Next, where we did not confirm the size could be ordered.

Who lists sandals in size 11 or 12?

At 11: Crispins Shoes, After 8 Shoes, Long Tall Sally, ASOS and Next, with Yours and Evans showing Long Tall Sally's. At 12: a few styles or one style each at Crispins Shoes, Otto and Ivy, Marks and Spencer, Next and ASOS.

Why do some shops show sandals at 12 or 13 that you do not count?

Because of what is in the list. Long Tall Sally's, Yours' and Evans' filters return everything, Simply Be and JD Williams show Crocs clogs, and Very shows adidas sliders whose product pages stop at 8.

Do you count clogs and sliders as sandals?

No clogs. Sliders are named as sliders where a page mentions them, and we do not count a shop as having sandals because of them.

Can I get wide fit sandals above size 10?

We could not confirm one. Yours' and Evans' wide sandals stop at 10E and 10EEE, and Otto and Ivy's wider fittings at 44W. ASOS's filter shows a UK 13 Wide value we did not open.

Are the sandals at Yours and Evans the same as Long Tall Sally's?

At plain 8 to 11, largely yes: they share a catalogue. Their own E and EEE sandals are separate, and those stop at 10.

Why are After 8 and Otto and Ivy sizes marked as our reading?

Many of their sandals are labelled in EU sizes, and we read those as UK sizes. We did not find a size table at After 8, so use the sizing on its product pages. At Otto and Ivy, use its sizing on the product page too.
