Football holds up well at 10. Five shops count, the same five that go on to 11, and three of them list a boot titled for women. The change from 9 is smaller than it looks: adidas’s own site has only dropped out of our evidence because we could not read it, and the F50 Sparkfusion League goes on at other shops. Puma is out for certain now, because its women’s filter ends at 9. Pro:Direct’s women’s list is shorter again but still a real list, while Lovell Soccer’s is down to a short one. If you take a 10 you can still shop around for the same boot and choose on returns.

Its page header offers free shipping over £80 and 14-day returns. We did not read the charge below £80, and the return cost is not confirmed.

One adidas boot, three versions
The F50 Sparkfusion League at these three shops is not quite one product. Pro:Direct’s is titled for firm ground and artificial grass, in Clear Mint, Ftwr White and Solar Purple. Lovell Soccer’s and Sports Direct’s are titled firm ground, and the colour we read at both is Purple/Lemon. Read the title and the colour before you compare terms. Returns cost money at all three: from £4.99 at Lovell and Sports Direct, and at your own cost at Pro:Direct, which gives a refund only.
Half sizes around 10
10.5 is listed at four of the five shops: Pro:Direct, Lovell Soccer, Sports Direct and Mizuno. It is the top half size on Mizuno’s Monarcida, and on Sports Direct’s Purple/Lemon League, whose list ends at a whole 11. We did not read half sizes on Nike’s boots at 10.
