Quick answer: UK 8 has more shops with sandals than any other size we checked: 24, with footbed, strappy, wedge and heeled styles and fits from Standard to 6E-8E. Marks and Spencer’s own brand is still here. Simply Be, JD Williams, Next and Yours all have a wide choice in E and EEE or their equivalents, and DB Wider Fit Shoes and Cosyfeet go wider. Crispins Shoes and After 8 Shoes list an 8.5.

At 8 you can shop for sandals much as anyone else does, by brand and style rather than by who happens to reach your size. The big lists are at Next, Marks and Spencer, ASOS, Simply Be and JD Williams, and they hold brands such as Birkenstock, FitFlop, Teva, REEF and Skechers. That ends abruptly. At Clarks the list shrinks to one style at 9, and Marks and Spencer’s own brand goes. So if you take an 8, this is the page where comparing fit, returns and brands is worth your time. Most of the others in this guide are about finding anything at all.

We checked shops’ own websites on 31 October 2026. Long Tall Sally, Yours, Evans, Simply Be, JD Williams, Next, Very, Marks and Spencer, Clarks, Cosyfeet, DB Wider Fit Shoes, Crispins Shoes, Otto and Ivy and After 8 Shoes were read through their filters and store data, and ASOS, Office and Shoe Zone through their filters. At Birkenstock, FitFlop and Crocs we read one kind of sandal, and at Pavers two products. Hotter, Dr. Martens and Joules come from their own pages as shown in search results. After 8 Shoes and Otto and Ivy label these sandals in EU sizes, so their UK 8 is our reading. Most delivery and returns terms were read on 30 October. We did not check prices, and availability changes daily.

Everything here sits on a shop’s women’s pages, and FitFlop’s Lulu and Crocs’ size tab are women’s-labelled. The Birkenstock, FitFlop and Crocs rows are toe posts, and the Joules row is a flip flop. Footbed styles are easy to find at this size. Long Tall Sally and Yours both list them, the second in E and EEE. Office has BIRKENSTOCK Arizona and the OFFICE Serena. Crispins Shoes has walking, flat and heeled sandals from Elata, Remonte, Hartjes and others, and Clarks lists DashLite Wish sport sandals.

Strappy, wedge and heeled sandals at size 8

Long Tall Sally’s gladiator, cross over and rope wedge styles are all here, and Yours has diamante heels and platforms in wide fits. DB Wider Fit Shoes has the Francesca wedge. As shown in search results, Dr. Martens has a platform gladiator in the Blaire Quad Hydro. Crispins Shoes’ heeled sandals sit beside its walking ones.

Toe posts, flip flops and mules

Birkenstock’s Gizeh and Mayari, FitFlop’s Lulu, Crocs’ Crocband Flip and Skechers toe posts at Pavers are all listed at 8. Joules’ Sunvale is a flip flop, as shown in search results. For mules, Long Tall Sally has a leather cut out mule and Yours a cut out mule in wide fits.

Clogs we did not count

Crocs clogs appear in Next’s sandals list at 8, and Office’s list also holds clogs. Neither counts here. Simply Be and JD Williams also have slider filters, which we read at 9.

What changes at 9

• Marks and Spencer: its list is other brands only.
• Clarks: one style, the Serina35 Strap heeled sandal.
• Pavers and Joules: Pavers is not confirmed at 9, and Joules’ Shop By Size filter stops at 8, as shown in search results.
• DB Wider Fit Shoes: it still lists 9, with fewer styles.
• Shoe Zone: far fewer sandals, though its Lilley and Softlites names go on.

How to measure your feet for size 8 sandals

Long Tall Sally, Yours Clothing and Marks and Spencer give 262 mm for a women’s UK 8, Clarks 263 mm and Shoe Zone 26.8 cm. Yours and Marks and Spencer also give joint girths, shown under width fittings below.

1. Stand barefoot on a sheet of paper, heel to the wall.
2. Mark your longest toe and measure from the wall.
3. Wrap a soft tape round your joints if you are comparing widths.

Width fittings at size 8

Yours Clothing’s chart gives a joint girth of 252 mm for E and 264 mm for EEE, and Marks and Spencer’s 256 mm for Standard (D) and 265 mm for Wide (E). Long Tall Sally’s single figure is 246 mm. Simply Be, JD Williams and Next all filter by width at 8, and Very lists New Look in Wide and Extra Wide Fit. DB Wider Fit Shoes goes furthest, and it gives each style its own fitting. Birkenstock’s thong sandals come in regular and narrow.

Is there an 8.5 sandal?
