Quick answer: at UK 12 most wellies are unisex or adult, and this is the last size for much of what we found. Hunter’s Unisex Downpour, Muck Boot’s Arctic Sport Tall, Dunlop’s Blizzard and Shoe Zone’s Adults Tall Welly all reach it. The Cotswold Windsor Tall at Screwfix is the one clear women’s label, and 12 is its top size, as it is at Marks and Spencer and Shoe Zone.

A size 12 welly is easier to find than a size 12 walking boot, where we found one boot. Seven shops list something here, and between them you can still choose tall or short, in black, green or navy. But this is a size to buy at, not to count on going further. The Windsor Tall, Marks and Spencer’s list, Shoe Zone’s filter and Dunlop’s Dee all end at 12, and only Dunlop, Muck Boot and Next go beyond them.
We checked each shop’s own website on 31 October 2026. Screwfix’s women’s filter and product page, Hunter’s availability filter, Marks and Spencer’s boots filter, Shoe Zone’s size 12 page and Dunlop’s store data were read directly, and Muck Boot’s Womens collection without exact availability by size. Next was read in a browser before it refused further reads. Delivery and returns terms were read on 30 October. We did not check prices, and availability changes daily.

Twelve is the end of the Cotswold Windsor Tall's range. Screwfix's women's filter at 12 showed the Size 12 Womens in black and green, and the black one's product page offered Collect, Deliver and Add to basket with no sold-out notice. We did not test local availability. It is a non-safety welly. As shown in search results, next-day delivery is £5, free over £50, and returns are free within 30 days, with some items excluded.

Hunter
With the availability filter on at 12, Hunter's Women's Footwear page showed the Unisex Downpour Short and Tall, the Field Downpour Adjustable and the Balmoral MKII Side Adjustable among its wellington boots. Twelve is the last size at which we could find a Hunter on its own site: at 13 every listing was sold out. Standard delivery is £3.99, free over £100. Returns within 30 days must be unworn with tags, and you pay the return postage.

Muck Boot
Muck Boot's Unisex Arctic Sport Tall, Derwent II Short and Edgewater Classic Tall appear in its Womens collection at 12. The Derwent II Short is in the list at 12 but not at 13, where only the tall styles remain. Delivery is £1.99, free over £100. Returns within 30 days are not free: a flat £4.99 through its online portal (mainland UK).

Dunlop
Dunlop lists the Blizzard in Heritage Green, the Purofort Professional and the Dee Calf Length at 12. The Dee stops here, and the other two go on to 13. Saver delivery is £2.99, free over £50. Returns are accepted within 30 days, but we could not confirm whether they are free.

Twelve is the largest size in Marks and Spencer's Wellington Boots filter, and what it holds is the Hunter Downpour Knee High and Downpour Short, in a few colours. There is nothing at 13. Shoe Zone
Shoe Zone's list at 12 is the Adults Black, Green and Navy Tall Welly and the Dunlop Dee, Dane and Blizzard, and none is labelled women's. Twelve is the top of its wellies filter. Its general chart gives EU 47. Home delivery is next day, free from £10 (£2.99 below). Unworn returns are accepted within 12 months, free to a store or £2.50 by post.

The Toggi Barnesdale, called unisex in Next's text, showed 12 (EU 47) running low, and the Hunter Balmoral Adjustable could be ordered at 12 (EU 47). Next's page data says women for the Hunter, but we did not read whether it is unisex. As at 11, we left out Muck Boots on this filter. Last stop for four ranges
Twelve matters because several wellies end here, and the next size up is close to empty:
- Cotswold Windsor Tall at Screwfix: the range is 3 to 12, and Screwfix’s women’s size 13 page shows no products at all.
- Marks and Spencer: nothing at 13 in its filter.
- Shoe Zone: no 13 in its wellies filter.
- Dunlop’s Dee Calf Length: the Dee stops at 12, while the Blizzard and Purofort Professional reach 13.

Who has been gone since 9
The shops that dropped out earlier have not come back. Le Chameau’s women’s filter ended at 9. Pavers’ extended sizes and JD Williams’ filters ended at 9, as shown in search results, and Joules’ product pages at 8. Search results showed no wellies on Long Tall Sally’s UK site, so the brand that fills out so many other size 12 lists is no help here.
Calves and colours at 12
As at 10 and 11, there is no wide calf range to point to, and we did not read a calf figure for any welly here. Colour is the one place with a little choice, with black, green and navy Adults Tall Wellies at Shoe Zone and black and green at Screwfix. ASOS’s boots list at 12 was about half Hunter unisex wellingtons when we read it for our boots guide, but we did not check those here, so ASOS is not in the table.
How to measure your feet for size 12 wellies
We recorded no foot length from these shops at 12. For comparison, Long Tall Sally’s women’s chart gives 296 mm for a UK 12, and Dr. Martens’, which covers its unisex sizes, gives 31 cm.
