A women’s UK 12 boot is still possible, but this is a size where you buy what exists. Long Tall Sally is the reason it is possible at all: the list on its own site runs to knee-high, riding, Chelsea, ankle and over-the-knee boots. We read the size grid on every item, and almost all could be picked, though most were running low. After that the supply is thin. Crispins Shoes has a few, ankle boots among them, and this is its top size. Otto and Ivy lists its Evelyn, Marnie and other boots at EU 46. Everything else is unisex or a repeat of Long Tall Sally’s range.

Do not read nine shops as nine choices. Long Tall Sally’s boots appear on its own site, on Yours’ and Evans’ sites and across most of Next’s list, because the first three share a catalogue and Next lists the brand. Dr. Martens’ unisex boots appear on its own site and at Next, ASOS and Marks and Spencer. Crispins Shoes and Otto and Ivy are the only others with boots of their own here, and Crispins has only a few.
