Large Slippers for Women: UK Size 8 to 13

Quick answer: at UK 8 and 9 you can choose from 19 and 18 shops, with moccasins, mules, full-back and touch-and-close styles, and extra wide fits at Cosyfeet, DB Wider Fit Shoes and Padders. Many ranges stop at 9. At 10, Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans list a 9-10 band. At 11 and 12 there are a few styles: Long Tall Sally’s 11-12 faux fur mules, a short list at Next, and After 8 Shoes in EU sizes. At 13 we found only Cosyfeet’s unisex Rowan, built for exceptional swelling or heavy bandaging, and not a general slipper.

Women’s slippers go further than women’s flip-flops, but in an unusual way. Up to 9 they behave like any other shoe, with a good choice of shapes and real wide fits. Above that they turn into bands. Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans list one slipper for two sizes, so a 9-10 or an 11-12 answers both numbers, and that band is what keeps the choice alive at 10 and above. Past 12 there is no everyday slipper that we could find. Filters also mislead, with several returning a full page of slippers at sizes the shop does not hold. This guide says which results are real.

We checked each shop’s own website on 31 October 2026: size filters, product pages, and store data at Crispins Shoes and After 8 Shoes. Next and Very refused further reads part way through, so their details are what we saw before that. Hotter, Padders and Celtic and Co were read through search results only, and Shoe Zone’s XL band rests on a size guide shown there. Delivery and returns terms were read on 30 or 31 October. We did not check prices, and availability changes daily.

The largest size is the biggest slipper size we could confirm at each shop on a women’s page. A filter may go further, but sold-out sizes and sizes we could not read do not count. Very’s filter shows slippers at 10, but we could not check them on a product page. After 8 Shoes’ UK sizes are our reading of EU labels. “Not checked” means we did not record that detail. Delivery and returns are the standard UK terms read on 30 or 31 October 2026, as shown in search results where marked.

The shops in more detail

Evans lists Yours and Evans faux fur styles to its 9-10 band. Simply Be matches JD Williams, with mules, slingbacks and moccasins to 9. Crispins Shoes has Toni Pons slippers, available only at 9 and 10 among sizes 8 and above. Hotter, Padders, Pavers, Celtic and Co, Shoe Zone, ASOS and Very reach 9, as our size 9 guide shows, and Clarks stops at 8.

Each size guide compares the shops that list slippers in that size, with bands, fits, and EU and US sizes from the shops’ own charts.

• Size 8: 19 shops, with a wide range of shapes and fits, and the top size at Marks and Spencer and Clarks.
• Size 9: 18 shops, and the top size for most wide fit ranges.
• Size 10: 8 shops, led by the 9-10 band. Very’s filter shows slippers too, but we could not confirm them on a product page.

Buying big slippers: what we learned

Bands, not single sizes

Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans use double bands of 7-8, 9-10 and, at Long Tall Sally and Yours, 11-12. A band answers two sizes, and it has no half size. ASOS shows 7-8 too. Letter sizes are harder to read. Marks and Spencer has S, M and L, Shoe Zone S to XL, with XL given as ladies’ 9 to 10, and Next’s own mules run Small to X Large, with the UK size behind them not read.

Women’s-labelled or unisex

Up to 12 what we list sits in women’s ranges or on women’s pages. The exception is Cosyfeet, whose list from 10 to 13 is the unisex Rowan. At Next, the styles at 11 and 12 appear on the women’s filter, but UGG’s own women’s filter stops at 10, and we did not read how Next labels them. An item labelled men’s never counts here.

Full-back and touch-and-close slippers

These belong to the lower sizes. JD Williams has full-back and touch-and-close styles to 9, such as the Audrey and Topaz in Extra Wide (EEE). DB has touch fastening and elasticated styles to 9, and Pavers a full slippers page to 9, with adjustable fasten styles on it. Shoe Zone lists The Slipper Company’s full slippers to 9. We found none above that, though we did not read the type of every style at Next, After 8 Shoes or Cosyfeet.

Moccasins

Moccasins reach further than full-backs, because they are part of the bands. Long Tall Sally and Yours list Yours moccasin slippers to the 9-10 band. Below that, Marks and Spencer, Simply Be, JD Williams’ Leona Suede, Next’s Moccasin Suede and Clarks’ Siana Mocc are all there at 8 or 9, along with Hunter moccasin slippers at ASOS.

Wide and extra wide

The specialists stop at 9. Cosyfeet’s women’s styles are extra wide, DB offers 2E-4E and 6E-8E style by style, and Padders EE to 6E, as shown in search results. Simply Be and JD Williams list Wide (E) and Extra Wide (EEE). Above 9, Long Tall Sally and Yours keep Wide E on Faux Suede Embroidered Mules at 10, with no 10EEE. We could not confirm a wide fit above that.

Filters that mislead

Several filters return the whole slipper list at a size the shop does not hold: Long Tall Sally and Yours at 13, Evans at 11 to 13, Very at 11 to 13, and Marks and Spencer at 9. Simply Be and JD Williams run to 12, but from 10 up they hold one Crocs lined clog boot. ASOS’s UK 10 and above are clothing sizes on nightwear, and the item at 10 is a playsuit. If a list is long at a large size, read the titles.

EU sizes at After 8 Shoes

After 8 Shoes labels slippers in EU sizes only, and we did not find a size table. We read EUR 42 to 45 as about UK 8 to 11, and EUR 46 as UK 12 on the same step, which is an assumption. Next labels EU 46 as UK 11.5 and Long Tall Sally calls UK 12 EU 45, so go by the sizing on the product page.

Returns differ a lot

Cosyfeet’s UK returns are free within 90 days, with some items excluded. Marks and Spencer’s are free within 28 days (14 for sale items), though orders under £10 or all-sale orders collected in store usually cannot be posted back. Hotter deducts £2.95, though size or width exchanges are free. Crispins Shoes has no free return service, and its window is 14 days. We could not confirm terms at UGG, Padders or Celtic and Co.
