Quick answer: UK 9 is still a strong size: we found 18 shops. But many ranges end here, including Simply Be, JD Williams, DB Wider Fit Shoes, Cosyfeet’s women’s styles, Hotter and Pavers, and UGG as far as we could confirm. Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans list a 9-10 band, which also answers a 10. Marks and Spencer and Clarks have stopped at 8, and Marks and Spencer’s filter at 9 simply returns its whole list.

Nine is where many ordinary slipper ranges end. The choice is still broad, with full-back, touch-and-close and moccasin styles and real extra wide fits, but for most shops this is the final step. Above it the list falls by more than half, and the styles change. At 9 a wide or full-back slipper is still easy to find, and at 10 it is not. This is also where the bands begin to help, because the 9-10 band at Long Tall Sally, Yours and Evans continues into the next size.

Very lists Yours slippers at 9, and Yours’ own site sizes those as 9-10. Shoe Zone’s XL is given as ladies’ 9 to 10 in a size guide, as shown in search results. Next’s own mule slippers run Small to X Large, and we did not read the UK size behind them.

JD Williams lists the Audrey Faux Fur Trim Full Back, the Topaz Touch & Close Full Slipper and the Cushion Walk Checkered Cosy Full Slippers, all in Extra Wide (EEE). DB lists touch fastening and elasticated styles. For a moccasin, JD Williams has the Leona Suede in Wide (E), Next a Moccasin Suede, and Shoe Zone The Slipper Company’s, with Hunter moccasin slippers at ASOS. After 9 these subtypes largely disappear, though Yours’ 9-10 band keeps moccasins going to 10.
Wide and extra wide at 9
Cosyfeet’s women’s styles are extra wide. DB offers 2E-4E and 6E-8E, Padders EE to 6E, as shown in search results, and Simply Be and JD Williams Wide (E) and Extra Wide (EEE). Marks and Spencer’s filter accepts a 9, but it returns the whole slipper list, so nothing is really held there, and 8 is its top size. Clarks’ filter at 9 shows no results.
