Eight is the one size in this guide where Nike trainers feel ordinary to find. You can pick by purpose, because running shoes are still on the list, and you can pick by shop, because six of the eight list a P-6000 in one colour or another. It thins quickly from here. Sports Direct’s women’s Nike filter falls away straight after 8, and JD Sports’ above 9.5. Schuh’s Nike AL8 tops out at 8, as shown in search results, and Foot Locker’s P-6000 could be picked at 8 but not at 9 in the colours we read. So this page is about choosing, and the pages above it are about what is left.

We checked these shops on 31 October 2026. Nike’s women’s filter at 8 shows first results only, so the styles we name are styles we saw, not a full list. JD Sports, Sports Direct, ASOS and Foot Locker were read on their own filters and product pages. Offspring was read through a text copy of the page only, which can show sizes that are not available. Schuh refused our read, so its row is as shown in search results, and Very’s row dates from 30 October, before Very refused further reads. The shops in more detail

The P-6000 at six of the eight shops

One style links most of this table. The P-6000 is women’s-labelled at Nike, JD Sports, Sports Direct and Foot Locker, unisex at Offspring, and was on Very’s list on 30 October. The colours differ: white at JD Sports, Wht/Slv/Pink at Sports Direct, White-Black-Metallic Silver and Black at Foot Locker, and Anthracite Black Metallic Silver at Offspring. So the shop you choose may come down to the colour you want, and a colour that is fine at 8 may not hold at the next size, as the Sports Direct one shows by skipping 9.

Running shoes at 8

If you want to run in them, start with Nike’s own list. The women’s-labelled Pegasus 42 GORE-TEX and Quest 7 both appeared in its first results, and the Run Defy was on Very’s filter on 30 October. We did not read running shoes at the other shops at this size. Nike’s women’s running shoes stop at 9.5, on what we read, so at 8 you are still inside that range.

Who drops out after 8

• Schuh: the Nike AL8 lists to UK 8, as shown in search results. UK 9 is in its women’s Nike size menu, but no product was read there, so we do not count it.
• Foot Locker: 9 is crossed out on both P-6000 colours we read, and we did not read its other Nike styles.
• Very: nothing above 8 was read, because it refused further reads.

How to measure your feet for size 8 Nike trainers

Nike’s women’s chart gives foot length in inches only: 10 1/2 inches at UK 8, about 26.7 cm by our conversion. Its CM row, 27.5 at UK 8, is not foot length, and the chart says the CM size on boxes differs from foot length.

1. Stand on paper with your heel to the wall, on both feet.
2. Mark and measure to your longest toe.
3. Compare the longer foot with Nike’s chart, in inches.

Widths at size 8

Nike has no width filter on its women’s listing, and the two women’s product pages we read offered no width choice. Its chart does say wide shoes have about 6.35 mm more toe-box girth than regular, and extra-wide about 1.7 cm more. Sports Direct has no width filter on women’s trainers. Very’s trainers filter offered Standard, Wide and Extra Wide at 8 on 30 October, across all brands, and we did not check whether any Nike style comes in those fittings. We recorded no fit at JD Sports, ASOS, Offspring, Foot Locker or Schuh.
