Quick answer: at UK 11 nine shops list smart shoes, but Yours, Evans and Next all show Long Tall Sally’s, so there are six ranges. Long Tall Sally has block courts, kitten heels and slingbacks, Crispins Shoes has a long list of courts, and After 8 Shoes has its Kayo and Gala. ASOS DESIGN has a few slingbacks, and Lace and Favour’s Melanie is one EEE wedding court. Of those ranges, only Long Tall Sally and Otto and Ivy go further.

Eleven is a better size than its shop count suggests. Crispins Shoes’ courts are still plentiful here, and Long Tall Sally’s range is still broad, with block, kitten, strappy and Mary Jane styles. The trouble starts if you look past them. Yours, Evans and Next have nothing of their own, Simply Be and JD Williams have gone, and width is almost entirely Standard Fit. It is also the last size for most of the shops that are left, so a style you like at 11 may not come any larger.

One range, four shops

Do not read nine shops as nine choices. Yours Clothing, Evans and Next are all showing Long Tall Sally’s shoes at this size, so a court you find on one will often be on the others. That can still be useful, because delivery and returns differ: Next’s next-day delivery is £4.95 or free to a store, and all four take returns in store. The six ranges that are truly separate are Long Tall Sally, Crispins Shoes, After 8 Shoes, ASOS DESIGN, Otto and Ivy, and Lace and Favour.

Last stop at 11

• Crispins Shoes: none of the first 20 court shoes we read offers 12, and its dressy heels at 12 were sold out on 30 October.
• After 8 Shoes: its size links stop at UK 11.
• ASOS: UK 11 is the largest size in its heels filter.

• Next: its Heeled filter at 12 returns no heeled shoe.

Simply Be, JD Williams and Schuh stopped a size earlier, at 10. JD Williams’ women’s shoes filter has no size 11 at all. We have left Very out: its size filter showed items not available in that size, and it refused further reads.

Work and court shoes at size 11

For a plain court, Crispins Shoes and Long Tall Sally are the two big lists, and After 8 Shoes’ Kayo is a third name, in black or light pink. If you would rather not wear a heel to work, After 8’s Deputy and Wisdom lace-ups are the options we can name. Crispins’ dressy heels at 11 ran from 3.5 cm to 10 cm on 30 October, most between 5 and 7.5 cm, so check the height on each style.

Wedding and occasion shoes at size 11

The Melanie is the only wedding shoe we can name at 11. Otto and Ivy’s Bridal Edit is worth a look, though the one style we confirmed at 45 came from its flats list. Long Tall Sally’s pages talk of size 11 and 12 shoes for every occasion, but search results turned up only one Wedding Guest tag, so treat its strappy heels and slingbacks as the occasion range. After 8 Shoes has no wedding section.

How to measure your feet for size 11 smart shoes

Long Tall Sally gives 288 mm for a women’s UK 11, against 279 mm for a 10. Few other charts we read reach this size for women, so use that figure for its shoes wherever you buy them.

1. Heel against the wall, on a sheet of paper, in the hosiery you will wear with the shoes.
2. Mark your longest toe with the pen held upright.
3. Measure both feet in millimetres and compare the longer one with 288 mm.

Width fittings at size 11

Long Tall Sally’s single joint girth at 11 is 264 mm, and its shoes here are Standard Fit only. Yours’ and Evans’ wide fittings have stopped, and their 11s are the same Standard Fit shoes. ASOS’s last wide option was UK 10 Wide. That leaves Lace and Favour’s EEE Melanie, and Otto and Ivy’s W fittings if one exists on a smart shoe at this size, which we did not confirm. As shown in search results, Evans’ extra wide page says it goes up to 13EEE, but its heels stop at 10E.
